Dotty

This piece was “inspired” by an accident.  I spilled some the contents of my three-hole punch on the floor and wondered what would happen if I would “glue” them to a canvas panel before I did any painting.  I applied ALL the “dots” and let the surface dry for 24 hours before I started playing with the paints.  The scan does a good job of showing the design created by the dots, but the texture is not really clear.  The next time the hole punch is full, I’ll try making another painting.

Zachary might like that one for his room because he was a camouflage room... I like it! Great creative insight and a "SLY" way to clean up the mess!

I see heads--the heads of a crowd, perhaps in a storm.

On my second pass, it's reptilian!

Perhaps I'm too literal here, but this reminds me of layers of fossils. The different layers of sand and seaweed make the layers of rock (and this seems very layered to me)while the imprints seem to be various animals and leaves behind each other (again, layered). Very rich. . .
